Yesterday His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch Neofit met Bishop Datev Hakobian, a representative of the Armenian church in Bulgaria.
The reception took place in the building of the Sofia Metropolis. The meeting was attended by His Eminence Gerasim Bishop of Melnik, chief secretary of Holy Synod and Archim. Vasiliy, a protosingelos of the Holy Metropolis.
During the meeting, Bishop Datev thanked Patriarch Neofit and the Bulgarian Orthodox Church for the good relations, as well as for the friendship and brotherly attitude. He reminded the patriarch for the meeting with Metropolitans of the Armenian Church,which took place in March this year.
Patriarch Neofit also thanked for the meeting, saying that Bulgarians have always loved and respected the Armenians. The meeting ended with wishes for friendship and hope for future meetings.
