On July 5th, 2024, when is celebrated the 145th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil presided a prayer service for the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with blessing of the holy waters. The Chairman of the National Assembly Mrs. Raya Nazaryan, the Vice President Iliana Yotova, the Minister of Internal Affairs Kalin Stoyanov and others took part in the celebration. In front of the Patriarchal Cathedral "St. Alexander Nevsky", specialized equipment was arranged, which the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs structures use in their daily work. In his speech, Patriarch Daniil said: "Today we rejoice with all of you and heartily congratulate you on the occasion of the 145th anniversary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs establishment. Peace, order and security are important in human society and in the Holy Orthodox Church we pray that the Lord will help you in your highly responsible service". According to the programme, a ceremony will be held today in the Ministry of Internal Affairs building to award Ministry employees who have achieved high professional results.
